Mission Statement

Silkpunk Productions, a recording and production studio based in Brooklyn, NY, was founded by Howard Ouyang, Jun Guo, and Pierre Pi—the creative trio behind the silkpunk quartet P.H.0—alongside the band's manager and business partner, Sam Arias, and long-time collaborator and mastering engineer, Piotr Garbaczonek.

Our team specializes in what we refer to as "the 21st Silk Road sound and genre-blending production", an approach through which our works have earned critical acclaim for "challenging our preconceived notions of how to categorize music"1 and "breaking down boundaries and blurring assumed cultural divisions"2. 

Our mission is to bring to our clients the same innovative approach to music and boundless creativity that define P.H.0 and all clients of ours, tailoring our techniques to each artist's unique style to ensure the best possible outcome and help them achieve and elevate their creative vision.

In the long term, we aim to foster genuine cultural appreciation by normalizing East Asian influences within a musical landscape dominated by Western traditions, not by abandoning or rejecting Western traditions, but by re-contextualizing them within an Eastern framework. In doing so, we strive to redefine and push the boundaries of what modern sound can be.
